Beginning business with a single boat over a decade ago, Island Explorer has grown to a fleet of four boats
including two 6-passenger craft and two 12-passenger craft. No other operation on Hilton Head Island offers
this unique combination of Expedition, Excursion, and Explorer vessels.
Charters can be arranged for up to 36 passengers distributed across our four boats. Smaller family groups may
choose to "buy-out" a boat for a private charter. Guests in smaller parties may request a particular boat, but
boat assignment cannot be guaranteed depending on scheduling, weather, passenger load, and mechanical issues.
No matter which boat carries you on your tour, passengers can be assured that all Island Explorer boats meet all
US Coast Guard standards and certifications for safety and operation, and your boat will be captained by an experienced
and friendly US Coast Guard licensed captain and guide.
Children age 12 and under are required to wear life jackets, and Island Explorer provides clean, comfortable life jackets for each child.
